There has been a Link to the Past hack in development since 2011 by hacker programmer known as “scawful”. The hack has combined elements from Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons from the Gameboy Color, as well as other Zelda games including the Minish Cap on Gameboy Advance into a very unique hack of Zelda 3. The game started development is 2011 and scawful has been slowly but surely carefully crafting the hack into what is essentially a completely new Zelda game for the Super Nintendo. Nearly a year ago now scawful released this trailer for the game on YouTube announcing that it would released that Summer but has since been delayed. However this means that the game is very near completion and will soon be released. As a BETA tester of this game I can attest to it’s excellence. I have played most of the best and well known Zelda 3 hacks out there and this one outclasses them all by a country mile. This is one for Super NES gamers and fans of Zelda 3 – A Link to the Past to definitely look forward to. I expect that it will be finished and the final version released at some time during 2025. However you can’t rush a masterpiece especially after such a long development cycle, there would be no point in rushing the end of the game. When the game is officially released I will post the news on this website otherwise you can contact scawful and see the games progress and even download the BETA patch on his discord channel.
