1. 14-Day Return Period
You have 14 calendar days from the date of delivery to request a refund or exchange for a defective, damaged, or incorrect item.
After 14 days, we’re unable to offer a refund or exchange.
2. Eligibility
Returns are accepted only for items that are faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described.
To be eligible, the item must:
- Be in the same condition that you received it (not excessively used or modified);
- Be in its original packaging where possible;
- Be accompanied by your receipt or proof of purchase.
Items not eligible for refund include:
- Software, video games, cartridges, cassette tapes, or vinyl records that have been opened;
- Items returned more than 14 days after delivery;
- Items not in original condition or missing parts (unless the fault was ours).
3. Refund Process
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you by email regarding approval or rejection.
If approved, a refund or replacement will be arranged within 7 business days, applied to your original payment method.
4. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund after notification:
- Check your bank or card account again.
- Contact your card issuer; posting times can vary.
- If you still haven’t received it, reach us via the Contact Page.
5. Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective, damaged, or incorrect.
If you need the same item exchanged, contact us within 14 days through our Contact Page; we’ll provide return instructions and send a replacement once the item is inspected.
6. Return Shipping
Contact us before returning any item.
- For verified faulty or damaged goods, RetroGame.News covers the return shipping cost.
- For any other return not caused by our error (e.g. refused delivery), the buyer may be responsible for shipping.
We recommend trackable postage or shipping insurance for high-value items; we can’t guarantee receipt without tracking.
7. Applicable Region & Currency
This policy applies to purchases made on our site that are delivered within Australia and priced in Australian Dollars (AUD).
