Time Extension

www.timeextension.com

A great, extremely detailed video games blog specializing in retro video games news. It’s a really great news blog, I visit it often and get a lot of inspiration for my RGN blog post articles. Though it’s a rival website I still highly recommend it, just please continue visiting RGN to help it grow.

Retro Video Game Narrated Youtube Channels

Game Sack Channel

www.youtube.com/

This is a very professionally produced and very funny You Tube channel run by a man named Joe. It’s regularly updated and has loads of content. He mainly does game and console reviews for classic gaming systems. I think he has an educational background in media production as his video’s have a very professional feel about them. He’s also really, really funny, if you are a middle aged gamer you will most likely appreciate this flavor of humor.

Retro Video Gaming Game Play YouTube Channels

kukun kun’s Satellaview Broadcasts

www.youtube.com

This is a link to a long playlist of taped original Japanese Satellaview broadcasts on kukun kun’s YouTube channel. As far as I know he is one of the only YouTube channels that actually has long Satellaview original Japanese broadcasts from 1995 – 1997. Great resource and possibly the only one to preserve an entire archive of BS-X Satellaview broadcasts. Don’t forget it’s all in Japanese but thankfully YouTube can translate it.

Retro Video Game system Interactive Project websites

Retro Achievements

www.retroachievements.org

This is a very cool project that applies the idea behind Sony’s Playstation Trophy introduced from the PS3 onwards to many  emulated consoles. It’s made to work on platforms such as RetroArch, you make an account then link it to the emulated front-end on the PC or your favorite  games console that’s been hacked to use an emulator front end. I like to use RetroArch on my hacked Playstation 3 when playing classic’s.
