Chrono Trigger in Lego Form?
Chrono Trigger is a Super Nintendo RPG masterpiece that is firmly cemented it’s place in video gaming history as one of the best video games ever made. It’s status is well earned as it’s an incredibly well made game with a deep and meaningful story and characters. It was carefully crafed by teams of talented artists, writers and programmers who worked tirelessly on bringing gamers the ultimate RPG experience during the Super Nintendo’s prime. The game has become incredibly famous, the original game is worth a ridiculous amount of money. It has become so famous that fans have started expressing enough interest to the Lego company for them to seriously consider releasing a Chrono Trigger themed Lego set on the market.
In recent years there has been a massive spike is video game themed Lego set’s being released starting with Mario and Sonic. They have even released video game consoles in Lego form such as the original Nintendo Game Boy. It seems that as long as there is demand Lego will create a set for any video game franchise. This has triggered a die hard fan known as SevenDeadlyBricks to express his love for Chrono Trigger as a proposal for a Lego set to the Lego company. The idea for the set is to reproduce the “End of Time” location and mini-figures of the entire team of heroes (Crono, Robo, Marle, Magus, Glenn, Ayla and Lucca) as well as Nu and the Epoch vehicle.
The idea has been submitted via the Lego Idea’s platform which allows fan idea’s to be proposed to Lego to be released as a product on the market. If the campaign for the idea get’s enough supporters it will be put to the Lego Idea’s board where it will be seriously considered for production. If this is something which interests you, then you can head over to the Lego Idea’s webpage and pledge your support for idea. The campaign was started on the 24th of February and as of the time of writing this article it currently has over 1,500 supporters. If it keeps this pace then it will easily reach 10,000 supporters by the deadline which means that there is a high chance of this actually succeeding. So don’t be surprised if you one day see a Chrono Trigger Lego set being sold on the shelves of your local department store.
