They Don't Want You Owning ANY Games EVER!

I seriously cannot believe that it has come to this. Modern gaming companies have bribed the media to print the most ridiculous propaganda you can possibly think of. They are claiming that buying physical games is “100 times more carbon-intensive” than buying the digital version. The fact that there are people out there that are gullible enough to fall for this kind of propaganda is absolutely mind boggling! This is obviously propaganda and it’s not even true. And CO2 is actually what plant’s breathe to make oxygen so it’s not this invisible evil enemy that they have been claiming it is since the climate change madness started. This is not about the environment at all, it never has been. It’s always been about control and having another excuse to tax people. The billionaires and powerful people of the world aren’t satisfied with their ridiculously large fortunes and the incredible amount of power they hold. They are never satisfied and they never will be until they control every aspect of every single person’s life on the planet. They don’t want people to own anything, they want to be the source of all the resources that people need so that everyone is dependant on them.

"Although cloud-based gaming can be detrimental as a result of its need for continuous access to energy-hungry data servers, we also cannot neglect the continued impact of manufacturing and packaging physical video games,"

-Stephanie Safdie the author of 'The Carbon Footprint of Gaming'

This madness has already started in the world. Hardly anyone even owns their own house, most houses are rented from landlords who own dozens of properties. This is what they want to do but with everything, not just housing. They want people dependent on massive companies for everything, they are so greedy that they won’t be satisfied until they own absolutely everything. And you, well you can only rent or lease things where you can use them for a limited amount of time before you have to return it or pay to use it again. This is what modern game companies are trying to do. They want more money, selling physical games to people isn’t good enough for them. It doesn’t make them rich enough, they want you to pay per play. They would rather you not own any games and everytime you want to play a game that you have to buy the rights from them to do it. Do not fall for this propaganda, if this is what modern game companies are trying to do then boycott modern gaming. This website, as you are aware, does not deal with any modern gaming whatsoever. We typically focus on consoles no newer than the the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. The exception is new FPGA consoles but that is different because although it’s modern it is retro technology based. Support indie developers, support retro gaming, support owning physical games. There are loads of indie companies out there selling physical new games for retro gaming platforms.

Fight the Good Fight!

Here’s how you can fight back. Do not buy any modern games, do not sign up for online gaming services where you have to pay to play. Do not support exploitative sales models which keep you paying for the entire time that you want to play the game. Stick with physical media where once you pay for it you own it forever, no matter what happens you can always play that game. No-one can take that away from you. With digital subscriptions it can easily be taken away from you, the price can go up at any time, it’s just completely criminal. Visit the web store we are selling brand new physcial games for retro gaming systems. We have copies of a new Game Boy DMG game available called Luft Gears. Please support websites like this one that don’t seek to push the status quo. This website is made by retro gamers, for retro gamers. We will never sell out. We are even working on making new games for old systems. When the game is finished it will be available in physical form as long as there is demand for it. So please support us because we are on your side. We aren’t rich and we don’t seek power, we exist solely to service the gaming community.

Please support RetroGame.News! We are desperate for help, we get over 4000 visitors per month but no revenue and no user interaction

A Plea To You!

Please support us , other websites like us and indie game developers. We are on your side, we want you to own physical games so that once you pay for them you can do what you like with your copy. I have put so much work into making this website so it benefits the gaming community and so far I have received nothing back. I will keep doing this as long as I can even if I never see a single cent from my efforts. But I beg you to please support the hard work we do, it’s all for your benefit. One day we may not have the resources available to operate and this website will be shutdown and you will be stuck with only social media and the mega corporation websites. Please support small, independent websites and businesses like this one. You have no idea how far your support goes. You can buy something or donate money but you don’t even have to do that. Just engage, become active in interacting with the website, sign the guestbook, write a comment or share an article. I am forever grateful for your support!
