Retro Game News July Giveaway Promotion

To celebrate us all making it to the 2nd half of 2025, Retro Game News is holding a promotional giveaway competition. In order to increase genuine user interaction we are encouraging readers to comment on our posts. Many comments don’t get approved as the vast majority of them are spam related posts trying to get users to go offsite, usually promising free bitcoin payouts or some other ridiculous scam. They even sometimes go to the trouble of having AI come up with a relevant comment and then tack spam on the end of it. It’s so obvious when comments are made either by bots or spammers, they just lack any soul or personality even if they do post a relevant comment.

However we are trying to build a genuine community of retro video gamers to discuss retro gaming. We are not interested in other subjects, spam, bitcoins and other things that the bots and spammers tend to talk about. You will notice that every post has option to leave a comment which you can find at the bottom of the page. In order to encourage people to interact with the website I am offering prizes for genuine comments*. I will give away two prizes, one for Australians and one for international readers. To be eligible to receive the prizes you need to leave a comment (with country and a contactable email address). The best two comments will be chosen, one from Australian readers and one from International readers. At the end of July I will contact the winners to send them their prize. Only 1 comment per user will be considered, posting many comments won’t improve your chances of winning as I’m looking for the highest quality, genuine comments. Comments in the guestbook will be counted too, with one entry being selected at random.

No dis-genuine or comments from spammers or AI bots or anything like that will NOT be considered. It is blatantly obvious when reading comments if it was made by a real person or not. AI generated comments are so fake that it’s blatantly obvious. This competition is only for actual human reader’s who are interested in Retro Video Gaming.
